Detroit news: U.S. Social Forum activists march in Detroit

Hundreds of activists from around the country marched in the steamy heat through the streets of the city today to call attention to a litany of social, economical and political issues. They chanted "This is what democracy looks like" and "No Justice No Peace" as they made their way downtown. The event is part of the U.S. Social Forum, which kicked off today at Cobo Center. The forum brings together peace and social activists to discuss solutions to socio-economic and political problems throughout the country and the world.
