World Social Forum on Migrations
In its fourth edition, the World Social Forum on Migrations is organized by 18 international networks and platforms, with the support of 80 civil society organizations in Ecuador and expects the participation of about 3,000 people from 90 countries worldwide. Speakers will include social movement leaders, human rights activists and academics recognized worldwide, such as Boaventura de Sousa Santos, Aminetou Haidar, Joao Pedro Stedile and Frei Betto, and the important presence of the United Nations, with the President of the Committee on the Rights of Migrants, Abdelhamid El Jamri, and the Special Rapporteur on Contemporary Forms of Slavery, Gulnara Shahinian.
